okay; there always going to be better movies than others. but this one really did get behind the scenes, trying to make people understand & realzie no you dont understand, ya know. they did as good as they could get it & by using marshall in this film becuase you know understand where he is coming from you dont want an "eminem" movie as he said, but take some of your life & transfer it & see him in a new but similar way. i think hes very very talented, he can just start coming up with this stuff & this film shows a very good job with it. the producer-director did an outstanding job. cuz some people dont get it thro... like, no i lost a bttle my life is over. its great and moves you & really does uplift people if they take the time....

Bad acting, conventional plot line. Typical rags-to-riches, revenge of the nerds type script. I found the rap towards the end slightly entertaining, although it wasn't worth sitting through the whole film for. Well-done to Eminem for making it in an industry where so many others fall, but honestly did he have to make a movie about it? How many other rappers have faced similar struggles without the Hollywood hype? Talented man, exaggerated film.
